18m tons iron ore production in 8 months

TEHRAN –- 17.9 million tons of iron ore was produced in Iran in the 8-month period starting from the Iranian calendar New Year (March 21).

The Mehr News Agency reported that this figure shows a 5 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
Iron ore production in the month of Aban of the Iranian calendar (October 22 to November 21) had a 10.9 percent rise compared to the year before which depicts a positive trend in production.
Copper cathode production during this 8-month time reached 147.2 tons showing an 85 percent boost exceeding the production target.
Copper cathode production in the month of Aban was more compared to other months of the year and showed a six percent increase in comparison to last year
